Animals Asia: Christmas Skellig Theatre evening
Thursday December 3, 2009 by Paul Martin

I’m exited to let you all know that on the 22nd December the fabulous Birmingham Stage Company (BSC) is again putting on a Christmas show for Animals Asia, followed by a short auction which I’m pleased to have been asked to conduct. It will be a real family friendly production suitable for all between 7-90 and combined with a visit to the Christmas lights should be irresistible. It is not even going to end late (around 9.30 pm), so still gives us all enough time to get home!
With five-star rave reviews at the Shaw Theatre, this production of “Skellig” is a not-to-be-missed Christmas treat for anyone aged seven and over.
“A story that is as moving for adults as it is entertaining for children; I defy anyone to get to the final curtain without a tear in their eye.” – What’s On Stage
“Skellig”, by award-winning writer David Almond, is a play about David, a 10-year-old boy, who discovers a mysterious creature named “Skellig” and so begins a magical and heartwarming journey, which proves that miracles can happen in the most unlikely of places. It’s a journey that changes David’s life forever.
The money raised will be going towards raising more vital funds for Animals Asia. They work tirelessly towards ending cruelty and restoring respect for animals across Asia.
Tickets can be brought from the Bloomsbury Theatre box office on 020 7388 8822.
Looking forward to seeing you all there for a lovely evening!
Paul
